Ah, the shameless plug.  A bit belated, perhaps…  Oh well.
Last Saturday Hello Foto held an opening for their Contact exhibition. (Contact is this city photo festival that runs for the month of May.  If you haven’t done so, check it out.  There’s a lot of great stuff to see.) We teamed up with three other photographers (Nick, Rich and Sheldon) to come up with a body of work we called “We Are Photographers?”  Basically posing the question, “What makes a photographer?”
Anyway, enough about our exhibition that runs until June 3rd.  (See here for info)  The opening was a blast, but more importantly, we learned a lot about the logistics and organization of an exhibition.
So, even if you missed the opening, (and are extremely heart broken about it) drop by Sleeping Giant Gallery on Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Saturday from 12 to 8pm or Tuesday, Thuday or Sunday from 12 to 4pm, and say hi!  This weekend is also Doors Open Toronto and a great opportunity to check out the inner workings of your favourite buildings.
Cheers,
Hitoshi & Vince
p.s.  The two guys ARE NOT us.  Just fans.  :)
p.p.s. THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO CAME OUT, THE GRUMP AND DAVID COPPAFEEL, JOSH AND THE SLEEPING GIANT CREW, MARCUS AND COFFEE

About:

Hello Foto is the collaboration of Vincent Luk and Hitoshi Murakami in their effort to present their vision of photography and its possibilities. As an idea, Hello Foto stems from their personal philosophy that beauty in all its form can be found everywhere and anywhere. All it takes is a different perspective, open mind and perhaps, a little bit of courage to reach out and grab it.
